SEARCHING: Our Quest for Meaning in the Age of Science, a 3-part public television series, explores the human questions raised by today’s science: Where do we fit in the scheme of things? How can consciousness, music, or love arise from atoms and molecules? What human qualities should we retain as we become part machine? Host Alan Lightman questions scientists at research labs, as well as philosophers and faith leaders. Stunning visuals and evocative music from the series bring each lesson to life through its own accompanying video. These lessons were developed by MIT's Scheller Teacher Education Program, using filming by Passport to Knowledge, and supported by the John Templeton Foundation.
